It has been waaaay too long. Please excuse my english ive been in isreal the past 4 months and am slowly losing my american touch. Along with Delpozo, Paris, and watermelon, one of my favourite (spelled it like that bc i think im british) things is a good sale. I was going about my day browsing websites during class when it dawned on me to create a new segment on the blog sharing my amazing finds. Haven’t decided what im gonna call this segment but I’m going to update every week because we all know sale flies off the racks. Email firstname.lastname@example.org if you have an amazing find that you think deserves to be posted. Also I’m thinking far into the future but when I have a serious amount of time on my hands I’m going to post items and show what you can pair that specific item with.
SKIN – Alia cotton gauze dress – barneyswarehouse.com (click on link). Additional 70% off already reduced sale. Love for summer day beach and then lunch (or vise versa)
Self-Portrait – Vine Floral Lace Asymmetric Midi Dress – Bergdorfgoodman.com (click on link) If you have people to see and somewhere to go this is your dress.
Jason Wu – Ostrich Feather Pencil Midi Skirt, Black – Bergdorfgoodman.com (click on link) LOVE this skirt.
Golden Goose – Suede Low-Top Sneaker, Purple – Bergdorfgoodman.com (click on link) I happen to always twist my ankles in these sneakers but I wear them every day anyway. They never go on sale so this is kind of a big deal.

This past summer I spent my time in the art room, ( I was art staff) as did 2 of my favorite campers in camp (the models above) Israeli born and bread it was obvious I would be photographing them this year. Here are some of our best pictures. These pictures were taken in the courtyard of the David Citadel Hotel in Jerusalem. I wanted it to be a very neutral color scheme with some hints of light blue. I usually love stripes on stripes but just like fashion my style is evolving. I am now a stripes and solid kinda girl. In this shoot I paired the models in stripes and solid. How stunning do they look?! Please email us if you have any requests!! We love hearing your feedback. Thesomebodiesofficial@gmail.com

This photoshoot was taken on my friends rooftop in the Old City of Jerusalem. I don’t normally like denim jackets paired with jeans, unless of course you’re wearing all denim aka. jean on jean on jean. I originally was not wearing the jacket because my shirt wasn’t denim, but this jacket is different. I decided that because of the cut and the shade of jean, it was alright. I actually really dig this look (yes, hate on that word, I’m still gonna say it). This outfit was originally just the tunic and the shirt, but once I got dressed, I knew it could use a few more details. And we all know there are never too many details. This is one thing I am sure of, outfits are a process- layering and layering until you have figured out the perfect combo of patterns, textures and colors. I love the idea that fashion–and how you choose to dress yourself–is a way of expressing what words cannot. Deep, I know. So when deciding how you are going to present yourself to the world or shall we say your friends, colleagues, and people you pass on the street, it should just be what you are feeling. If you desire to pull something off, then go right frikin’ ahead.
I decided to whip out my giant tulle skirt for this photo shoot just to add some texture to my outfit. This skirt basically took up half of my suitcase when traveling to Israel this year. Not sure it was worth it considering I have only worn it two times. So I thought I definitely owed it to the skirt to wear it at least one more time for a photo shoot. Well here it is, with a bunch of other layers of course.
This shoot was taken in Tel Aviv by my two favorite stands. One is my favorite coffee stand (or shall I say chai latte stand, being I hate coffee). The creative genius who designed the stand clearly has killer taste, as you can see in the photos. The stand is covered with leaves and rocks all connected with perfectly stained wood. Job done right, lemme tell you. The other stand is where I purchased the ice pop featured in the photos. The stand is called Tamara (I like to think it was named after me). And yes- I spent 4 bucks just to have an ice pop in these pics for y’all.
These photos were taken by the incredibly talented Eliana Rohrig.

I’d like to thank Yael, our incredible model for Crushing this shoot. Not only did she let us put layer upon layer on her, but she also allowed us to coat her eyes in glitter.
The very fine knit piece Yael is wearing, which I added to my cart on Asos but had no real intention of buying until I caved, is apparently called a Tabbard (what in Beyonce’s superbowl messup is a Tabbard??) Shoutout to Queen B for being epic.
Well, I later learned that a tabbard–defined as a tunic or cape-like garment worn by a knight over his armor–would be my next obsession. I mean who doesn’t want to be wearing a knight’s cape? The tabbard is the key to my whole shoot. This tabbard, or whatever you would like to call it – a cape, a bib, a square piece of cloth, whatever helps you sleep at night, will indeed change your life.
Yes, I repeat: it will change your life. It has the ability to take an ever-so-normal look, and to say the least, put the avacado on the toast. I mean – who likes the toast without the avacado? Could there ever be toast without the avocado? Is toast even real? If you didn’t instagram your avocado toast, did you really have avocado toast? It’s something to think about…
Now, back to the tabbard. While you may not understand the concept right away, once you’ve got your hands on one, there’s no going back.
The piece under the tabbard was purchased from Urban outfitters renewal section, in which they take vintage clothes/fabrics and use them to create more unique or as others might say “wow” type pieces. I’m a big fan of this section. The whole concept is pretty incredible because no piece is exactly the same. This shirt is called the “remade assymetrical oxford top” and its pretty striking. The way it falls changes the game.
Anyway… hope you enjoy the pics! I had a blast shooting them.
In the first story Yael is wearing from top to bottom: River Island Tabbard, Urban Outfitters Asymmetrical Oxford Top, Zara skirt, Monki Sheer Socks, Prada platforms.
In the second story Yael is wearing from top to bottom: Topshop jacket, All Saints sweatshirt, Jcrew striped shirt, Rebecca Minkoff skirt, Monki Sheer Socks, Prada platforms
